OberliTiffView & OberliTiffViewOCR: Supported compression methods and formats

TIFF is a file format that supports many different compression methods and image formats.
We test OberliTiffView V2.23 and higher with files with the following combinations of pixel format and compression method:
Compression Format
None RGB/CMYK 8 and 16bit
Black/white
Indexed
CcittGroup3 Black/white
CcittGroup4 Black/white
JPG
RGB/CMYK 8bit
LZW RGB/CMYK 8 and 16bit
Black/white
Old JPG
RGB/CMYK 8bit
Packbits

RLE

ZIP

If the combination of pixel format and compression method you are using is not listed, this does not mean that it cannot be opened and viewed with OberliTiffView.
In this case, we recommend testing with the trial version of OberliTiffView. If a TIFF file cannot be opened with OberliTiffView, we would be grateful for a message.
If you are unsure, you can send us one or more files. We will then clarify whether OberliTiffView supports the combination of pixel format and compression method or not.
