OberliTiffView: Powerful viewer for multi-page TIFF documents (Windows)

OberliTiffView is a powerful viewer for viewing, printing and/or copying multi-page TIFF documents, also known as TIFF multipage documents or TIFF multiframe documents. These documents are used in document management and archiving (DMS). OberliTiffView supports various versions of Windows.
OberliTiffViewOCR also contains text recognition (OCR). This allows the texts to be extracted from the scanned documents. OberliTiffViewOCR is largely barrier-free and can, for example, support people with visual impairments in their work.

Scope of functions

  • Open and display TIFF multipage documents (e.g. for document archiving) under Windows
  • Show supported pixel formats and compression methods...
  • Display of preview images

    - Freely definable size
    - Quality low, medium, high
  • Navigation via preview image list, toolbar, selection list, keyboard and menu.
  • Rotate the individual sides in 90° increments.
  • Zoom function
    - Increase/decrease step by step

  • Print one, several (enumeration and/or range) or all pages.
  • Copying images via the clipboard to other programmes, e.g. to a word processor.
  • Display various properties of pages and the open document.
  • Supports various command line parameters
  • Navigation in the TIFF files of a folder.
  • Sending the opened document by e-mail.
  • Supported languages (user interface): German, English.
    Other languages on request.
  • The software is largely barrier-free.
  • The software supports two monitors.
  • OberliTiffViewOCR additionally:
    Recognition of the texts contained in the scanned documents (text recognition, OCR).

Einsatzgebiete

  • Viewing/printing/copying of scanned/archived TIFF multipage documents ranging from one to several hundred pages.
  • Viewing/printing/copying of electronically received fax documents (e.g. received with HylaFax, WHFC, etc.).
  • Suitable for use on PCs with two monitors.
  • OberliTiffViewOCR additionally
    - Support for people with visual impairments: The texts in the scanned documents can be recognised by OberliTiffViewOCR and read aloud by appropriate software.
    - The recognised texts can be used as part of a new document.
  • Both versions are less suitable for displaying large CAD files.
